Mooloolaba King Prawns to the consumer.
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, we guarantee only the best!
All our seafood is caught using environmentally sustainable
practices through the use of TED'S (turtle excluder devices) and BRD'S
(by-catch reduction devices) While following the guidelines of
an EMS (environmental managment system).
Terry, a third generation fisherman began fishing at the age of 14
and has progressed through the industry from deck-hand to skipper and
owner/operator.
During the past 31 years Terry has worked on many trawlers ranging from a 43ft
timber vessel through to a 60ft steel vessel.
Our current vessel the "N.W. Heirisson", we purchased from Nor West Seafoods
in Carnarvon (Western Australia) and steamed her around the top end of Australia
and down the East Coast to Mooloolaba (Queensland, South East Coast) in 1996.
"N.W.Heirisson" is a 60ft steel vessel working mainly Mooloolaba deep water
fishery and surrounding areas.
Vicki grew up on a dairy farm before meeting Terry and moved into
the fishing industry with him over 30 years ago. Vicki crewed on the back deck
for Terry for many years before acheiving her skippers ticket in 1985.
She has since left the sea and raised their 2 daughters and became involved in
representing the industry through the Independent Trawler Association Inc.
While managing the business and marketing the much sought after wild caught
product Vicki and Terry are now also enjoying their new baby grandson.
